Each year, the local YMCA of Greensboro host their annual Healthy Kid's Day, which promotes healthy living and fun for youth. This year, The Village participated by bringing awareness to Autism, which is educated most during the month of April.
NC A&T Field Trip
The Village taking its FIRST field trip! Along with the big brothers, twelve of the little brothers came out to our university, NC A&T State University, where we gave them the ultimate tour! They were able to see a lot of historical landmarks on our campus & meet a lot of student leaders who informed them on the university's excellence over the years! After a quick snack, we took our little brothers to a Building Brother's Discussion, a black-male empowerment event hosted by Mister NC A&T. Once there, we listened to an empowering speaker, a distinguished panel of successful men, and the little brothers had a chance to mix and mingle with the other college students.
