Executive Board Application

President (INTERNAL MEMBERS ONLY). The President shall be the principal executive officer of the organization, and, subject to the control of the Board of Directors, shall supervise and control all of the business and affairs of the organization. He or she may sign, with the Secretary or any other proper officer or agent of the corporation thereafter authorized by the Board of Directors, any deeds, contracts, or other instruments that the Board of Directors has authorized to be executed, except in cases in which the execution thereof shall have been expressly delegated by the Board of Directors or by these bylaws to some other officer or agent of the organization. The President shall in general perform all duties incident to the offices of the chief executive officer of the organization and such other duties as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors from time to time.

 

Vice President (INTERNAL MEMBERS ONLY). In the absence of the President, or in the event of his inability or refusal to act, the Vice President shall exercise all powers and discharge all duties of the President.

 

Secretary. The Secretary shall keep as permanent records (1) minutes of all meetings of the organization’s Board of Directors, (2) a record of all actions taken by the directors without a meeting, and (3) a record of all actions taken by committees of the Board of Directors on behalf of the organization. The Secretary shall give all notices required by law and by these bylaws. The Secretary shall have general charge of the corporate records and books and of the corporate seal, and he or she shall affix the corporate seal to any lawfully executed instruments requiring it. The Secretary shall sign such instruments as may require his or her signature, and, in general, shall perform all duties incident to the office of Secretary and such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Board of Directors.

 

Treasurer (INTERNAL MEMBERS ONLY). The Treasurer shall have custody of all funds and securities belonging to the organization and shall receive, deposit or disburse the same under the direction of the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall, in general, perform all duties incident to the office and such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors may from time to time designate one or more fiscal agents to perform all or any part of the duties of the Treasurer. The Treasurer shall also be in charge of  fundraising opportunities for the organization. The Treasurer shall keep up to date reports of all finances.

 

Mentoring Coordinator. The Mentoring Coordinator shall have access to all members of the mentoring component of the organization. The Mentoring Coordinator will handle applications and interviewing of the big brothers and the little brothers, from a non-biased stand point. The Mentoring Coordinator also assesses recruitment and retention rates of all students and internal members. If there should be any problems, inquiries, or questions regarding the students or the internal members, the Mentoring Coordinator shall and should be contacted.

 

Community Relations Chair. The Community Relations Chair shall be in charge of representing the organization in the community; local and global. The Community Relations Chair shall construct the organization’s involvement in community events, organizing a plethora of community service opportunities for the organization. When the organization needs to communicate and conduct business with external partners, the Community Relations Chair shall or should be contacted.

 

Programming Chair. The Programming Chair shall be in charge of overseeing, coordinating, and constructing programs based on a needs analysis. The Programming Chair shall be in charge of organizing programs and making sure logistics, presentations, and  information is accurate upon completion. This position holder shall oversee reviews and meetings for upcoming programs and assist in all preparations.  The Programming Chair shall keep records of programs and also relay timely and accurate information to the executive board and assisting committees.

 

Scholarship Director. The Scholarship Director shall organize, coordinate, and implement scholarship-related programming consisting of  seminars and events related to the selection process of scholarship candidates. The position holder shall manage scholarship recipients and maintain consistent communication to accurately relay information to ensure an  impactful experience. The position holder shall regularly update executive board members and assisting committees.

Media Team Director (POSITION FILLED). The Media Team Director shall manage and lead the media team appointed by the position holder. The Media Team Director shall cover the impact of the organization and develop their projects into positive promotions. The director encourages creative ideas from the Media Team and delegates duties that adequately reflects the vision of our organization. This will be done through photography, videography, social media, journalism, broadcasting, and etc. The Media Team Director shall regularly communicate  with other members of the executive board to ensure proper branding.
